The Kabbalah Centre was established in Los Angeles in 1984. Prior to its opening in California, the precursor to the Kabbalah Centre was situated in New York City. The U.S. derivations of the Kabbalah Centre have their origins in a Kabbalah study organization located in the Middle East, and founded in 1925 in what would eventually become the State of Israel.
There are now over 50 branches of the Kabbalah Centre in the world today. This includes major cities like Los Angeles, New York City, London, and Toronto.
Kabbalah is defined as ancient wisdom that reveals the manner in which the universe and life operate. The word Kabbalah actually is defined as “to receive.” In the grand scheme, the study of Kabbalah through the Kabbalah Centre is designed to help students understand how to obtain fulfillment in life.
The study of Kabbalah through the Kabbalah Centre is designed not to merely provide a person with a fleeting sense of fulfillment or gratification. Rather, students of the Kabbalah Centre are taught how to connect to the energy of the universe, maintain that crucial connection, and maintain lasting fulfillment in their lives.
The practices taught at the Los Angeles Kabbalah Centre are based on ancient traditions, teachings, and practices. The teachings of the Kabbalah Centre are deemed universal. What this means is that the principles underpinning Kabbalah apply to everyone. They apply to people of all faiths and religions.
Kabbalah instruction from the Kabbalah Centre is not based on blind faith. Rather, it arises from practical application of what is learned in Kabbalah courses and practices. The Kabbalah Centre does not serve as an alternative to a person’s existing faith structure or religion. Rather, the teachings and practices of the Kabbalah Centre are designed to supplement a person’s beliefs, faith, and religion.
