The best air conditioning tips for pets: Goettl AC

The Las Vegas-based Goettl Air Conditioning company is encouraging local occupants to prepare to protect their pets through the mid year environmental conditions.

Below are some tips to keep pets protected during the hot seasons:

1) keep all paws off the asphalt.

Any black top area will likely be hotter than it looks. The American Veterinary Medical Association has been encouraging pet owners to stay off hot surfaces through the mid year as pet paws can get burned easily. If it becomes too unbearable to walk on hot concrete and asphalt without overheating or burning, consider taking walks in he morning or late at night.

2) Always consider applying sunscreen before going outside on a hot day.

Any pets with a light fur coat are likely to burn much faster than humans and other dogs. To beat the heat, apply a pet-safe sunscreen to your pet’s face at least half an hour before outside movement.

3) Make sure you and your pet have lots of water.

Pets are not able to sweat or naturally cool of as much as humans can. It’s harder for them to keep cool amid the mid year. The Humane Society of the United States preaches how important it is to have crisp, cool water and shady spots to stop and rest at when the temperature get really hot. Always be on the lookout for dehydration or overheating

5) Invest in a dog pool!

Who would not enjoy a pool? Dogs love pools just as much as humans. Small dog pools keep pets cool. A pool can be a pooch’s new most loved toy.

6) Watch out for car leaks.

The hot temperatures can be just damaging to cars as they are to pets and humans. Summer heat can crack a radiator and cause fluids to leak from overheating autos. The damaged radiator will leave stains on driveways and grassy areas. If there is an auto spill, keep pets as far away as possible. Certain chemicals will be dangerous to the pets health.

Goettl Air Conditioning was started by Gust and Adam Goettl in 1939 and then moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 1968. Fellow businesses man Ken Goodrich acquired the Arizona organization in 2013. Three years later in April he opened a branch office in the place where he grew up of Las Vegas, where his affection for the Goettl item initially started. The company continues to work hard to provide cool and comfortable living conditions for humans and pets.
