The Cancer Treatment Centers of America along with the National Football League Alumni Association and LabCorp created the Prostate Pet Talk campaign for Prostate Awareness Month in September. The goal of Prostate Pep Talk is to raise awareness of the disease and provide free or low cost screening to all eligible men.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in this country. Educating men about the disease and providing convenient, no cost or low cost, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings at any of LabCorp’s approximately 1800 locations nationwide will assist men in understanding the benefits of an early prostate cancer screening test.
The Prostate Pep Talk campaign runs September 1st through October 15th, 2017. The first 2,000 men over the age of 40, who meet eligibility requirements, may sign up for a free PSA screening test at their local LabCorp office. Once the initial 2,000 screening spots are full, men may continue to schedule their screening at a discounted rate of $25 through October 15th. The PSA screening test can be completed anytime up to six months after registration.
